Faculty and staff play an important role in ensuring that students with disabilities have the opportunity to fully participate in the academic setting. Compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 are minimum expectations. The UO strives for a higher standard of access and inclusiveness and recognizes different abilities as a valued aspect of diversity. To achieve that higher standard, the AEC provides support through services, outreach, training, and consultation.
Consultation and Training
AEC staff members are available to the campus community for individual or group consultation related to a broad range of accessibility/disability issues. We can work with you to make the campus a more accessible and inclusive environment.
To set up a consultation, group presentation, or workshop, contact Hilary Gerdes at 541-346-1063 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
