Seeking Students for AEC Panel

The Accessible Education Center is seeking a pool of qualified students to serve on a 2017-2018 AEC Student Perspectives panel.

Qualifications:
  • registered with AEC
  • able to commit to the participation and time involved
  • comfortable discussing issues related to disability and personal experience
  • have a passion for advocacy and educating the campus community on matters related to barriers they experience and strategies for overcoming those barriers.

Students will participate in an AEC student panel to share their experience to a range of audiences on campus. The anticipated commitment is an initial group meeting, 2-4 panels per term, and check-ins after each panel. Participation is on a voluntary basis. It’s a great way to help spread awareness on campus as well as an experience you can use on a resume.

If interested, please fill out the questionnaire by January 7th (the pool will remain open until enough panelists are confirmed). Prospective panelists will be notified via email and asked to come in for a brief interview.

If you have any questions or need reasonable accommodations for the application process, please contact Natalie via e-mail at ncastro@uoregon.edu or by phone at 541-346-1155.
