Student Employees/Volunteers

The Accessible Education Center hires many undergraduate and graduate students each academic quarter to meet a range of changing needs. Types of employment opportunities include being a trained transcriber in a classroom, providing individualized physical assistance (i.e. lifting books, assisting in an art class), reading text materials, proctoring exams, scanning printed materials, or assisting a new student with learning the campus. Volunteers are routinely used to support students who have difficulty taking effective notes in class or to provide other types of assistance. Students who provide this volunteer support can request a letter confirming the service to the university.
