Veterans

The Accessible Education Center staff strives to be sensitive and attentive to the unique neeAEC of Student Veterans. If you are currently experiencing barriers to effective engagement or participation in the classroom we encourage you to schedule an individual appointment with one of our advisors. In addition to preexisting conditions such as ADHD and Learning Disabilities, Veterans may receive accommodations for other medical conditions that significantly impact academic functioning. Most commonly these may be associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), mobility issues, and anxiety/depression. Discussions with our advisors and rationale for accommodation are kept strictly confidential. Some Veterans may not anticipate an immediate need, but find it helpful to register with The Accessible Education Center in the event that more support or specific accommodations are necessary.
