Classroom Access

Students with disability barriers in the classroom environment can work with AEC to receive accommodations to improve access to the physical environment. These accommodations can include (but are not limited to): furniture placement in classrooms when needed, preferential seating, access to food/drinks during class, etc.

The UO Classrooms and Resources List includes photos of and information about most classrooms on campus. Students are encouraged to review the classrooms they are scheduled in each term to determine if approved furniture accommodations are necessary. AEC works directly with Campus Planning and Facilities Management to place furniture in classrooms when needed.

AEC also works with the Registrar to move classes in situations where the assigned classroom is not accessible to the student.
